They are a one piece spoof band from Sheffield, Yorkshire who make use of Flash Games related to the iron lady or the Miners Strike to gain popularity. Chumbawamba also have an E.P out called ‘in Memorium’ which will be sent out to everyone who orders one the day Thatcher dies. The genre ‘Geek or Nerd Hip Hop’ have also produced songs featuring Thatcher such as MC Frontalot with the lyrics “I’ve got a new dance called The Margaret Thatcher.

Stumbled on this as I finally get around to signing up for the Andy24 this year. I’m wondering if I’m the old guy you mention. Not quite that old, but hey, maybe I look it, and what you describe is more or less my strategy (actually I start at midnight or so) and I’m quite used to being the oldest person on the field in the wee hours. Don’t recall asking anyone if the game had slipped yet, wouldn’t hold back if it hadn’t, and don’t recall anyone else playing in those predawn (and postdawn) hours that could challenge my claim to be oldest.
